Methow TrailContinuing the annual tradition, the 2009 Methow Valley cross country trip over President’s Day weekend, February 13-16, celebrates our 21st year here.

The Methow Valley has held the title for several years now as the best of groomed cross country trails (130km), touring, freestyle and race-skiing in all of North America.

Come join Ski Buddies for a long weekend of downhill skiing/snowboarding over the President’s Day holiday in beautiful Eastern Washington. We will be staying in Newport, WA (about an hour north of Spokane, located on the serene Pend Oreille River and the Idaho border) with two days of skiing/riding at 49° North – one of Washington’s best undiscovered ski hills! If you like skiing and riding at uncrowded places like Mission Ridge and Bluewood, then this is the trip for you!

The Stevens Pass Weekend is the longest running Ski Buddies trip (27th consecutive year!) and one of the most popular. We again have exclusive reservations at our favorite Cabin which sits just off the Highway within two miles of Stevens Pass downhill area and only a few miles from the Nordic Center. Constructed of logs and granite, the Cabin offers a rustic feel yet features a full kitchen, three bathrooms, showers, sauna, outdoor hot tub, two fireplaces, and comfortable seating for conversation, dining and games. Most sleeping is in the third floor loft on foam mats.

Ski Buddies hosts the final Potluck of the season on Sunday, February 21, from 6-9 PM. But this is no season finale! Trips are happening from now into April, some with spaces available. Sign-ups continue at the Potluck. Remember that alcohol is BYOB; soft drinks will be provided.

Free parking: Ski Buddies has arranged for validated parking at The Broadway Market Garage, just diagonally across Broadway from the Potluck. Enter the garage from Harrison St. just west of the intersection with Broadway, one block south of Republican St. Please park on the lower (P2) level then bring your gate ticket to the Potluck to receive your three-hour validation (see Stuart).

Are you ready for some Mt. Bachelor spring skiing? It may be sunny and it may be snowing. We don't know. If you never have been to Mt. Bachelor, make this your year. There are some things we can count on: the breathtaking views, the terrain, and the fabulous 7 bedroom Sunriver lodge home. This trip offers an option for every budget, from a King Suite to a shared bunk room. This home is located 15 minutes from the lifts! We will arrive Thursday evening and leave Monday morning. Included will be a pizza dinner, a BBQ dinner, appetizers, and a potluck dinner. Each skier will be responsible for their own breakfast.
