Methow TrailContinuing the annual tradition, the 2009 Methow Valley cross country trip over President’s Day weekend, February 13-16, celebrates our 21st year here.

The Methow Valley has held the title for several years now as the best of groomed cross country trails (130km), touring, freestyle and race-skiing in all of North America.

Again this year we'll be lodging at Methow River Cabins, a new cabin complex along the river right in the town of Winthrop. Each cabin sleeps four. (More details to follow.)

Lodging Cost: $242 per person/ shared bed -or $200 futon/hide-a-bed- for 3 nights, arriving Friday anytime after 3 pm and checking out Monday around noon. This trip is still one of the best weekend bargains.

Weekend trail passes: were $45 in 2009. There are one and two day passes as well. There are 3 places in Winthrop to get the trail pass and rent equipment for all skill levels and interests. Most of us go to Mountain Valley Sports.

Payment: Spaces for this trip go on sale at the time of the Ski buddies October Potluck. Full payment will be due in December. The first 14 full payments received (payable to Ski Buddies) will be the guaranteed spots.
