Ski Buddies returns to Silver Star in the beautiful Okanagan Mountains near Vernon, British Columbia for the last weekend of January 2010. Silver Star is a major Canadian cross country ski resort. Together with the adjoining Sovereign Lake Nordic Center, it boasts more than 100km of groomed trails. Silver Star is also a favorite alpine destination with 115 marked runs spread over 3,065 skiable acres.

We’ll be staying in the heart of the Village at the Lord Aberdeen Hotel. Ski Buddies has reserved four 1-bedroom deluxe suites and a 2-bedroom suite, each of which sleeps four, and a 3-bedroom suite which sleeps 6. Each suite features a full kitchen. The hotel also offers a sauna, hot tub, weight room, and small grocery.

Cost: The base price of the trip is $190US. This includes accommodations for three nights, club costs, and dinner on Saturday night. We will likely have a four-night option as well. For now, Ski Buddies is offering the following four price options:

• Nordic skier + 3-day pass = $244US ($190 + $54 pass)
• Nordic skier + 2-day pass = $227US ($190 + $37 pass)
• Downhill skier + 3-day lift ticket = $366US ($190 + $176 pass)
• Downhill skier + 2-day lift ticket = $310US ($190 + $120 pass)

Transportation: Skiers will arrange for their own transportation. We anticipate that most of us will car pool, but those who wish to may fly direct from Seattle.
