HUNTLEY LODGE - (Teanaway Valley) - Feb 3-6, 2012

If you missed the inaugural trip to the Huntley Lodge last year, here is your chance to check out this wonderful place!

Ski Buddies is offering a group trip to the Blewett Pass, Teanaway Valley, Suncadia, and Salmon La Sac areas of Washington State. We will be staying at the incredible Huntley Lodge , which is central to all these snow sports areas. Enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing or downhill skiing on this new adventure for Ski Buddies.

The Huntley Lodge is a private estate nestled in the trees on 20 scenic acres in the beautiful Teanaway Valley just 6 miles from Cle Elum, WA (90 minute drive from Seattle). When entering the Main Lodge you’ll be inspired by the soaring 40 ft wall of windows in the Great Room and open floor plan that's ideal for our group. The kitchen features slab granite counters, stainless appliances, 6 burner gas cook top and an oversized dining table and beverage bar -perfect for the group meals that we have planned for this trip! The centerpiece of the Lodge is the wood burning stone fireplace and comfortable couches for telling stories late into the evening. Upstairs we’ll be greeted by a TV lounge and game tables! Outside, the views of the meadow and surrounding hills and mountains will make us feel like we’re isolated from the outside world during our stay.

Set amongst the trees above the Main Lodge are 4 cabin duplexes, for a total of 8 individual cabins. Each duplex has an outdoor covered deck for relaxing and taking in the views. The cabins are very comfortable and are furnished with several beds, a private bathroom with a shower, and a dining table. Each cabin sleeps 6 to 8 comfortably depending on the configuration. The cabins are all within a 20 to 100 yard walk to the Main Lodge.

Price: $195.00 per person includes three nights lodging at the Huntley Lodge, dinners on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and breakfasts on Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings! (Once trip costs are met through three night sign-ups, we may be able to offer a two-night option at $165.00 per person.)

(As a note, a change in policy since last year no longer allows pets at the property.)

Spaces go on sale at the time of the Ski Buddies Saturday, October 8th potluck at REI. This is a popular trip and is likely to fill quickly so priority will be given to those who pay in full when they reserve.
