BIG WHITE “It’s the snow” is Big White’s tag line, located in the Okanagan Valley in Canada. This ski resort has a totally ski-in, ski-out arrangement and claims to be the largest in Canada. Big White is blessed with sunny weather, dry powder and a mild average temperature of 23 F.
There are 118 runs fanning from the summit, 2,565 acres of skiable terrain, and 16 lifts, offering a great selection of terrain to all skiing/ snowboarding levels. There are also many other great winter activities: including ice skating, snowmobiling, backcountry cross country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sled rides, sleigh rides, and tubing.
ASPEN GAY SKI WEEK - Jan 16-23

There are four great mountains and you're sure to find skiing to suit your ability, whether it’s the gentle beginner slopes of Buttermilk, Ruthie's intermediate cruiser on Aspen Mountain, the seemingly endless groomed corduroy of Snowmass or the steep back bowls of Aspen Highlands. (aspensnowmass) The town of Aspen is a delight, with great restaurants, pubs, art galleries, shopping, health clubs and spas, all on quaint Victorian streets in a pristine Rocky Mountain setting. Events at Gay Ski Week include the downhill costume competition, comedy night, the Aspen GLBT Film Festival, a gallery walk, group dinners and parties galore.
ARLBERG AUSTRIA - Jan 16-23, 2010

Ski over 260 km of prepared runs on seven ski areas: Lech, Zuers, Oberlech, St. Christoph, St. Anton, Stuben and Kloesterle/Sonnenkopf. Gil knows the Arlberg region well as he has skied there over 20 years, including annually during the 17 years he lived in Germany, the Principality of Liechtenstein and Austria.
SILVER STAR - Jan 28-31, 2010
Submitted by Content Manager on Sun, 09/27/2009 - 16:01Ski Buddies returns to Silver Star in the beautiful Okanagan Mountains near Vernon, British Columbia for the last weekend of January 2010. Silver Star is a major Canadian cross country ski resort. Together with the adjoining Sovereign Lake Nordic Center, it boasts more than 100km of groomed trails. Silver Star is also a favorite alpine destination with 115 marked runs spread over 3,065 skiable acres.
CRYSTAL BUS TRIP - Member Appreciation - Saturday, Jan 30

As appreciation for all the effort and good times that have made Ski Buddies a great winter sports club, we are subsidizing a day of skiing/riding (and motor coach transportation with après ski) to Crystal Mountain for all interested members.

Methow TrailContinuing the annual tradition, the 2009 Methow Valley cross country trip over President’s Day weekend, February 13-16, celebrates our 21st year here.
The Methow Valley has held the title for several years now as the best of groomed cross country trails (130km), touring, freestyle and race-skiing in all of North America.
49 DEGREES NORTH - Feb 12-15

We will be staying in Newport, WA (about an hour north of Spokane, located on the serene Pend Oreille River and the Idaho border) with two days of skiing/riding at 49° North – one of Washington’s best undiscovered ski hills! If you like skiing and riding at uncrowded places like Mission Ridge and Bluewood, then this is the trip for you!
STEVENS PASS WEEKEND - Thur-Sun, Feb 18-21

We again have exclusive reservations at our favorite Cabin which sits just off the Highway within two miles of Stevens Pass downhill area and only a few miles from the Nordic Center. Constructed of logs and granite, the Cabin offers a rustic feel yet features a full kitchen, three bathrooms, showers, sauna, outdoor hot tub, two fireplaces, and comfortable seating for conversation, dining and games. Most sleeping is in the third floor loft on foam mats.
