Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding

My partner and I booked a 2BR Condo at Whistler's 4 Star Club Intrawest for Gay Ski Week and now cannot use it. We've stayed there before and it's very very nice. This is a Sun Feb 1st check in thru Sun Feb 8th which is the same exact days as Gay Ski Week.

The room has two bathrooms a full kitchen and sleeps a total of 6 people (2 in each bedroom and 2 on the pull out sofa). This room normally goes for $289 per night plus taxes (10% hotel + 5% GST) = $2326 CA or $2002 US.

We'll rent the room for $1500 US which is only $250 per person if you have 6 people!

What a great winter we had. Now, for the long awaited trip report for Mission Ridge. We had a great time! Weather was beautiful; some nice groomed runs and a little fresh powder, as well. Views were amazing! The Columbia River Valley and the rock on the ridge provided for a spectacular skiing experience.

Winter's Not over yet!! In fact this weekend along dropped 10 more inches of fresh powder. Alpental will be open utnil May 5th. If anyone's interested, I'd like to get a group together and head up to Alpental on Sunday, May 4th. This will be a DIY trip meaning yo uwill need ot purchase your own lift tickets and we'll try and set up carpools. I would *really* like to get up to Mt Baker this coming weekend (April 5th & 6th)! My idea is to drive up later Friday (4/4) night (after 7:30pm) and grab/share a cheaper hotel room in Bellingham. Up to the mountain on Saturday (4/5) for the day; back to B'Ham for another overnight; back to the mountain on Sunday (4/6); then drive home Sunday afternoon/early evening. A week after the closing banquet, and more snow...another cold winter blast! Crystal got 7" last nigth. I am planning on going up Saturday, which is looking good weatherwise. I like to leave town early. There will probably be a flurry of tickets/vouchers to grab this time of year--ask around to use them up, or get one before the ticket windows from sellers (I've been there).
